In the app
- Open Bluejay on your phone or on the web, and sign in.
- Go to Settings — on a phone it is under Profile.
-
Under Your data, choose Delete account and confirm.
If you want a copy first, Export sits directly above it and gives you
every link you have saved as a file you can read without Bluejay.
If you cannot sign in
Email
[email protected]
from the address the account uses, with the subject
Delete my Bluejay account. We will delete it within 30 days and reply to
confirm.
What is deleted
Everything tied to the account, at once:
- your email address and sign-in record;
- every link you saved, with its title, summary, tags, notes and stash;
- saved page text, search data, and any recipe or workout pulled out of a page;
- the history of link checks and any recovery suggestions;
- our record of your subscription.
We keep no copy to restore from. (A single link you delete in the app is erased for
good 30 days after you delete it.)
What is not ours to delete
-
A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Deleting
your Bluejay account does not cancel it — Apple and Google hold it, and you
cancel it in your account settings with them. Do that first, or you will keep being
billed.
-
Payment records. Apple, Google and Stripe keep their own record of
purchases, as the law requires of them. We never held your card details.
-
Short-lived processing logs. The companies that process pages for
us may hold a request for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. Those requests carry a
page, not your name or email. See Privacy.
